    • Laboratory investigation on solidified waste silt from Nanjing Yangtze river floodplain as subgrade filling

    • In the field of civil engineering, a new study explores the potential of Yangtze River floodplain silt as roadbed filling material. Through improvement experiments, it was found that adding cement and lime can significantly enhance the mechanical properties and durability of soil. The optimal ratio is 6% cement+6% lime, and the 28 day unconfined compressive strength of the improved soil reaches 2.05 MPa. After soaking in water for 5 days, the water stability coefficient is 0.76, demonstrating good road mechanical properties.
