    • Analysis of highway recovery from Ms 6.8 Luding Earthquake in 2022

    • In the 2022 Luding earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 in Sichuan, geological disasters occurred frequently along the highway, seriously affecting rescue work. The investigation found 507 damaged points, with landslides and collapses accounting for over 90%. Highway damage is positively correlated with earthquake intensity and negatively correlated with the distance between faults and rivers. During the rush to ensure smooth traffic, utilize water transportation resources to establish a lifeline and improve the disaster resistance and resilience of highways.
