    • NONLINEAR RESPONSE STUDIES OF TALL STEEL FRAMES

      摘要:Considerable eftects of geometric nonlinearity upon tallsteel frames and flexibly jointed steel frames are recognized.Systematicanalysis philosophy of geometric nonlinearity under various coordinatesystems and its corresponding explicit expression of tangent stiffness matrices are comprehensively embodied.The entries in tangent stiffnessmatrices with its nonlinear behavior and its abstrusely implied physicmeanings are expounded and a straight forward derivation technique ofnonlinear matrices is given.A computer algorithm which can performwhole range studies of steel frames by considering geometric and materialnonlinearities up to the ultimate load carrying capacity is implemented.

    • ANALYSIS OF THE BEHAVIOUR OF HIGH STRENGTH BOLTED SHEAR CONNECTIONS

      摘要:On the basis of experimental tests,a formula is proposedfor the computation of the load-deformation curves of the single highstrength bolted connections in axial shear forces,which is a piecewisefunction describing three stages of friction,slipping and bearing of theconnections,and is also suitable for the non-slip connections.The limitstate method is used to compute the behaviour of high strength boltedconnections subject to eccentric shear,in which each bolt obeys thenon-linear relationship aforementioned.In this paper,the computer pro-gram is worked out to solve the non-linear problems.Analytical resultsare shown to be in general good agreement with experimental data.

      摘要:In This paper,the characteristics and mechanical prop-erties of high strength and super-high strength concrete(60-120MPa)based on slags and alkaline components are presented.This type ofconcrete can be produced as rapid hardening or super rapid hardeningwith high durability,energy saving and low cost.Based on experimentswith reinforced beams of this type of concrete,its deformation properties,process and characteristics of disruption are described.

      摘要:It's very difficult to study high-strenth compositesbecause of the poor adhesion of polyethylene fibres caused by its specialstructural qualities.This paper reports a study of changing the surfacequalities of ultra high molecular weight polyethyene(UHMW-PE)fibres of different draw ratios by plasma and acid treatment.It alsodevotes to the experiments of measuring the fibre resin adhesion bythe pull out technigue,and studies the mechanism of the interface failureby SEM.The experimental results show that there's a significant impr-ovement in the adhesion between the UHMW-PE fibres and the resinafter the plasma treatment and it can be four times stronger,dependingupon the draw ratios of fibres and plasma parameters,The interfacefailure in the pull-out test involved developes along the fibre-resininterface within the fibre,and the skin of the fibre is peeled off.Theadhesion can be improved by combining the plasma etching technique andother methods of treating the surface of UHMW-PE fibre.

      摘要:In this paper,a beam-column design problem is formu-lated into an optimization problem The modern optimization technique,sequential unconstrained minimization technique(SUMT),is used toselect the design vesiables at points.The optimum designs obtained arereasonable and verifiable.This procedure may be used in the design ofbeam-columns.Considerable savings can be achieved due to the effectiveuse of material through the best proportion of the shape of beamcolumns.
