Abstract
In this paper
a wind tunnel model test for a wooden pagoda to be con-structed is described
which imitates a Tan-dynasty Buddha tower.It puts special emphasis on the wind effect of the pagoda
the upwind direction
the form factor
the behavior of the flying eaves
etc.A comparison between the test results in uniform and gradient wind field is made.
