This paper studies the determination methods offuraldehyde and compares them with each other in a furaldehyde-benzenesample system that contains less than 10% of furaldehyde.The recentChinese national standard method is that of hydroxylamine(GB 1926-80).This method has an error approximately greater than 5%
and it has moresteps and is time-consuming.The Nicolet DX quantitative analysis packagecauses even greater error
while FTIR method has errors less than 5%by selecting proper baselines and drawing a work curve.FTIR methodis simple
quick and nondestructive
and needs only few amounts ofsamples.It's suitable to the samples of the system of the experiment.
