根据工程数据库的现状及应用的需要，提出了一种基于工作区的多库多记录的存储管理策略，该方法以最大限度地利用内存空间，减少Ｉ／Ｏ次数及提高系统效率为目的，

Abstract

A storage management approach

based upon multi-base and multi-record is presented in accordance with the current situation and application of the engineering data base.The approach provides a useful model for improving the performance of engineering data base.Through this approach

the intermal storage is fully used

the input/output(I/O)is reduced and the efficiency of the system is enhanced.The user is allowed to define the size and contents of workspace by himself.
