To fit the need of the country for regional planning

this paper summarized the work of Jing-Jin-ji metropolitan regional overall planning

it first proposed the idea that "Harmonization" is the soul of regional planning

then illustrated that the regional overall planning should be harmonized with special planning

higher level and lower level regional planning in three different phases

which covers the duration range from prophase research

its pilot study result and pilot planning report.The contents of Harmonization include strategic contents

planning contents

project items and policies.
