摘要

通过对城市历史地区文态环境和建筑特色的调查和分析，指出在当今城市国际化和各种飞快转变的激流中，唯有各自的历史街区、传统文化才能显示出该城市的身份和市民的文化归宿，提出了保护和延续城市历史地区文态环境和建筑特色的方法，认为只有把城市的“根系”留住，城市才会有生命力。我国还有许多历史城市与聊城古城类似，希望研究对这类城市的保护和更新能有一定启发。

Abstract

Through analysis of an investigation of the cultural environment

I point out that historic sites and traditional culture are the end-results of cities. I advance a method for conservation and continuance of the cultural environment and architectural characteristics of cities. I suggest that only by maintaining a citys root system can a city be full of vitality.
